Poetic sampling as a form of promotion
As part of a comprehensive promotional campaign for the Prigov Days Festival at the State Hermitage Museum, we organized a poetry recital on the streets of St. Petersburg, providing a story suitable for news coverage.
On November 5, 2012, central St. Petersburg’s Malaya Sadovaya street played host to a one-off street performance – a recital of poetry penned by Dmitri Prigorov, novelist, artist, sculptor, one of Russia’s most distinguished poets, and a founder of the school of Moscow Conceptualism.
The recital was accompanied by music played by an experimental orchestra. Readings were given by actors from St. Petersburg theaters and students from Anatoly Praudin’s acting workshop.
The result: more than 50 mentions in print and digital media.
